HomeFront runs a wonderful program that gives donated cars to working clients who need transportation to get to their workplace. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation of a car to help a HomeFront family, please call us at 609-989-9417 or to send an email to celiab@homefrontnj.org.

Driving to Independence:
How Your Old Car Can Jumpstart a New Life!
Jessica M. lives with her son, Nathaniel, in one of HomeFront's transitional homes, while saving for a security deposit on an apartment of her own. Last month, she received a car through HomeFront's Driving to Independence Program.

"Life for me and my son has changed so much since getting a car from HomeFront. I had been taking two buses to drop my son at day care then to get to my job. Every day I carried a car seat, diaper bag and all of Nathaniel's things," said Jessica.

"I recently started taking some classes in the afternoon after my work shift ends. Since I have the car, I can drive to the college then return and pick up Nathaniel from day care." "This would have been impossible to do by bus," adds Jessica.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation of a car, contact HomeFront by phone or email. HomeFront accepts cars that are in good working order and have passed state inspection. Qualified HomeFront families receive the donated cars, free of charge.
