Community Partnerships

From the very beginning, we knew we could not change the landscape of family homelessness and poverty in our community alone. We knew it would take an army of volunteers – individuals and those who are mobilized by our community partners.

Some of those partners are businesses like Mathematica, which does so much for our young basketball players; congregations, like that of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in West Windsor, which is our partner in the Cherry Tree Club preschool; schools like The Pennington School, which delights our families with amazing Christmas parties and other fun events; and not-for-profit organizations like Educational Testing Service, which has adopted the Lawrence Community Center as a favorite cause.

There are dozens of such partners, and more of them are joining up all the time. Sometimes we approach them, and sometimes they approach us. But whenever someone reaches down to help someone up, the effect is always uplifting.

Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart

This little cutie is sending a BIG “thank you” to the Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart for donating an abundance of new children’s books for the library at our Family Campus—and we say “thank you” too!

There’s our buddy Elf.He made a special appearance for our wonderful friends at Bristol-Myers Squibb who collected an abundance of toys for our kids at their recent holiday party.

Knitting Circle Keeps Our Kids Warm (and Cute)!

A heartfelt “thank you” to the Lawrence Library’s Knitting Circle for the beautiful hats and scarves they made for our clients and their children. The hand-knitted items they create every year for our families are certainly appreciated – especially on these bitterly cold days!
