Success Stories

Our Success

HomeFront, its supporters, and a legion of volunteers provide food, clothing and shelter to Mercer County's homeless families. We also give them hope, dignity and a vision of an independent future. HomeFront provides programs and services that speak to the very special needs of Mercer County families in crisis. Our unique approach gives them the resources and skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty. Our caseworkers help them resolve the issues that led to their homelessness, and then help them secure a permanent home.

With the generous support of individuals in our community, HomeFront improved the lives of hundreds of homeless and working poor families last year. During 2007, our staff and volunteers provided: over 10,000 nights of emergency shelter; more than 70,000 meals to homeless families; day care for 22 children; enrichment programs for 523 school-age children; furniture for 600 apartments; living wage jobs for over 100 parents; apartments for 349 families and much more.
