If you were an insect, how would you see things? That’s the assignment given to young students in the All Eyes on Nature, a creative program from the Arts Council of Princeton (ACF) for young HomeFront artists.

Our young students created an artistic experience that allowed for greater sensitivity to nature and all its shifts in scale, color, and texture, as well as its complexity and interconnectedness. The artists used native species as their starting point. In addition to paintings, they also created large sculptural elements from their paintings (flowers, leaves) with the idea that if the students were the size of insects, what size would the natural elements be? They worked to communicate their energy and excitement through their work. Exhibition Runs May 12-16 at D&R Greenway.
