Women’s Initiative 8th Annual Spring Luncheon

Guest Speaker: Tina Kelley, co-author of the 2012 national best seller, Almost Home: Helping Kids Move from Homelessness to Hope, the memorable stories of seven homeless teens who eventually made their way to self-sufficiency. Ms. Kelley was a reporter at The New York Times for a decade, where she was part of the Metro section team that won a 2002 Pulitzer Prize in the Public Service category for coverage of the September 11 attacks. She wrote 121 “Portraits of Grief,” short descriptions of the victims. Her most recent work is her third book of poems, Abloom & Awry, which was published this month from CavanKerry Press. A graduate of Yale University, Ms. Kelley now lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
