HomeFront can help your family with everything it takes to make a house a home – food, furniture, appliances and household items, clothing, groceries (non-food), back-to-school, and holiday essentials. For families living in motels who are homeless, HomeFront also has a new meal delivery program called “Double Helpings.”
During the COVID-19 crisis, our service hours and operations have changed. All available client support services will be accessible by phone to limit in-person visits and our Front Desk and Furnish the Future programs are closed. Food, Diapers & Other Groceries
HomeFront operates three food/grocery pantries. Families who have enrolled are welcome to visit once every 30 days to receive a bag of healthy food that will feed a family of four for one week. Diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, feminine hygiene and personal hygiene products are also available.
HomeFront clients are welcome to visit our food pantry once every 30 days and receive a week’s worth of groceries that will feed a family of four.

Locations and Hours –
Fran’s Pantry – 1880 Princeton Avenue, Lawrenceville. Open Monday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Lawrenceville Community Center Pantry – 295 Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville. Open the first and third Thursday of every month from 12-4 p.m.
FreeStore Pantry – 1000 Division Street, Trenton – Food bags available during your appointment when you shop for clothing and more. Call our main office at 609-989-9417 to make an appointment to shop for free.
HomeFront’s Double Helpings program provides weekly food bags and hot meals three times per week for families who are homeless and living at local motels along the Route 1 corridor and in Ewing. We are here to help your family with necessities and help during this difficult time.

HomeFront’s Furnish the Future Program maintains a warehouse of gently used donated home furnishings, appliances and housewares to help you make your home comfortable and warm for you and your family. In order to take advantage of this service, you must have a HomeFront case manager.

Back to School
We want to help your children go back to school with everything they need to succeed. HomeFront provides age-appropriate backpacks filled with the needed school supplies. When possible, school clothing, uniforms, and shoes are also provided. This service is available at the first of each school year and anytime your child starts at new school.

While you’re speaking with us, ask about our year-round Joy, Hopes & Dreams program for school age children. It provides local area children with fun new experiences, tutoring and mentoring after school and on weekends.
The Thanksgiving holiday is especially important as it is a time when families come together and enjoy a home-cooked meal. To ensure our families have all the ingredients to enjoy a traditional meal made at home, we provide food baskets filled with items such as stuffing, string beans, potatoes, cranberry sauce and a gift certificate for a fresh turkey. We also try to make sure you have enough food for the following week.

Holiday Gifts - Christmas Wishes
We ensure that every child has the chance to feel special during this holiday season. Through a carefully orchestrated effort that begins in late November, we ask you for information about each of your children and shop for two gifts for you to give them during the holidays. With their first name, age, gender, size and top gift wishes, we are ready to start preparing to make their holidays special.
