Join us from Monday, February 9th, through Saturday, February 14th for a variety of volunteer and educational opportunities where you can help local families impacted by poverty and homelessness. Some can be done at home or virtually, others are in person. See details on each opportunity at the link below.

This Week of Hope, HomeFront is celebrating 35 years of serving families and the generosity of our community that makes it possible. Whether you don't know HomeFront, get involved often, or want to re-engage, Week of Hope is a great chance to get involved and see the impact of your care.

Bake Some Love
Sign up to bake nut-free treats for children experiencing homelessness and currently living in motels. Drop off at our 1880 location by 2 pm for Tuesday afternoon meal delivery. Please individually wrap whatever amount you give.

Help Provide the Basics for Families: Volunteer at our Freestore
A welcoming place where clients can go to shop for clothing, professional attire, household items, toys and more at no cost to them. Assist with sorting incoming donations and organizing the store. Please also sign up for the Virtual Volunteer Orientation.

Help in our Choice Food Pantry
Join our team at HomeFront’s Choice Market to create a dignified shopping experience for clients. Tasks include assisting shoppers, retrieving carts, and restocking. Spanish and Haitian Creole speakers are especially encouraged to volunteer!

Get Ready to Make an Impact: Volunteer Orientation
New to volunteering with HomeFront? Join this engaging session to explore our mission, volunteer roles, and 35 years of impact. We’ll cover policies, introduce key contacts, and answer questions to prepare and excite you to make a difference!

Help Deliver Meals and Hope to Area Motels
Join our Double Helpings team to deliver hot meals and essential supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness in area motels. Volunteers must be 18+. Sign up for the Virtual Volunteer Orientation to get started today!

Kits of Hope
Join us for a one-hour shift assembling ziplock bags filled with essentials like hygiene items, period products, or winter warmth. Each kit brings hope directly to families in our community — a small effort with big impact!

HomeFront Bus Tour
Join HomeFront leadership for an exclusive bus tour showcasing HomeFront’s 35 programs and services. Gain insight into our impactful work and see the difference we’re making in the community. Don’t miss this inspiring opportunity!

ArtSpace Valentine Collage Workshop
Join us for a fun night of collaging, sipping, and learning about HomeFront’s mission! Create a Valentine for someone special while supporting a great cause. Suggested donation: $25. Must be 21 to attend.

See What We Do: Tour of our Main Office and Food Pantry
Join us for a tour of 1880 Princeton Ave. to see 35 years of community care in action. See our food pantry, Diaper Resource Center, upcoming drives, and find out how you can get involved in supporting HomeFront’s mission!

Coffee & Connection: Week of Hope
Start your morning with coffee and pastries while connecting with HomeFront’s CEO and fellow community members. In celebration of HomeFront’s 35th Anniversary, learn about our mission, hear stories of impact, and explore a year’s worth of meaningful ways to support families.

Hope in Action: Youth Edition
Ages 10–16 (chaperoned), Join us for a 2-hour interactive experience where young volunteers step into the shoes of families facing poverty. Participants will play our Survival Game to explore real-life challenges and complete a hands-on service project.

Diaper Wrapping for HomeFront Families
Diapers cost $70-$80 per month per child and aren't covered by food stamps. Host a diaper drive, donate to our center, and join us for a fun diaper wrapping activity to support families in need!
