HomeFront Participating in NJ Office of the Food Security Advocate's Strategic Plan
HomeFront's Joins Commitment to
Combat Food Insecurity in Mercer County
We're proud to join 86 other organizations in supporting the NJ Office of the Food Security Advocate's three-year New Jersey Food Security Strategic Plan. By joining other agencies in these shared food security goals, we can contribute to a statewide vision that helps individuals and families access nutritious, healthy food.
HomeFront’s commitment focuses on enhanced ongoing food access, utilization and availability, and thus helping to break the cycle of poverty of improving food security in Trenton and greater Mercer County. Our services include client-choice food pantries, nutritious meal provision for families in motels, pop-up pantries in underserved neighborhoods, and grocery bag distribution to partner agencies.
Throughout our work, we emphasize dignity, choice, and nutrition by offering fresh produce, meat, dairy, and shelf-stable items, and works to meet families where they are, both geographically and in their unique food journeys. You can learn more about the Commitments and the work of organizations across the state on the New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate’s Commitments webpage.
