AN UPDATE: Unfortunately, Stephanie Land had a medical emergency once she landed in Philadelphia early this morning. She has been hospitalized and will be unable to speak tonight. If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s our incredible ability to pivot. The Women’s Initiative advisory board and dedicated HomeFront staff came together in the wee hours this morning to share their expertise and resources to pivot as seamlessly as possible.
We are extremely disappointed but we are excited to share the rest of our wonderful program and to welcome Dr. Ruha Benjamin as our keynote speaker. Ruha is a sociologist, published author, and a Professor in the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University. The primary focus of her work is the relationship between innovation and equity, particularly focusing on the intersection of race, justice and technology. She understands and appreciates the work we do in her soul.
There will be an opportunity, once seated, to provide us with your address so we can send you a book plate for your copy of Maid. We wish Stephanie a speedy recovery and are SO grateful to host Ruha!

Health and Safety Notice
COVID-19 cases have increased in our community and across the state. There will be an option to live stream the program if that works better for you. The program will begin at 7:00 PM and the link will be sent to all attendees the morning of June 1. Anyone who is ill, experiencing a fever, or has recently been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID, may not attend. Masks are encouraged and will be required in some areas.
