In addition to financial contributions, there are many other ways you can help.

How to Donate Items

The HomeFront Donation Center is open at 1880 Princeton Ave, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 during the following hours:

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-3pm
  • Saturday, 9am-12pm

It also may be convenient for you (and works really well for us!) to purchase donations off of our Amazon wish list.

Due to space constraints, we are currently only able to accept the specific items listed below. We hope to expand our Donation Center list as circumstances allow!


Current Urgently Needed Items:

  • Gently used or new window unit A/Cs at 5,000 BTUs
  • Children’s disposable masks
  • Supplies for our summer camp, Camp Mercer:
    • Individual bagged snacks, juice, and water: small bottled water, individual chip packs, small Gatorade bottles, Capri-sun juice boxes
    • New reusable kids’ water bottles
    • Sunscreen (spray only)
  • Non-perishable food:
    • Canned Soup (15oz)
    • Canned chicken (5 oz)
    • Canned tuna (5 oz)
    • Shelf stable milk (32 oz – Natrel, Parmalat)
    • Canned vegetables (15 oz)
    • Canned beans (15 oz)
    • Canned fruit (15 oz)
    • Macaroni and cheese (7.5 oz max)
    • Peanut butter (16 oz)
    • Cereal (14 oz max)
    • Single serve milk cartons (8 oz cartons – Horizon, Organic Valley)
    • Jelly (18 oz max)
  • Hygiene products:
    • Sanitary napkins/pads
    • Shampoo – full size and travel size, suitable for families
    • Deodorant – men’s and women’s
    • Lotion – full size and travel size
    • Toothpaste – full size
  • New baby items:
    • Bulb nose aspirators for infants
    • Children’s face masks (not cloth)
    • Children’s chewable Tylenol (ages 2-11)
    • Sippy cups
    • Humidifiers (these can also be gently used)
    • Infant nail clippers
    • Infant hats
    • Infant socks
    • Baby lotion
    • Baby wash & shampoo
    • Diaper rash cream
  • New household items for move-ins:
    • Break-resistant cup sets
    • Full sheet sets
    • Shower curtains with liners & hooks
    • Neutral colored bathmats
    • Brooms & dustpans
    • Toilet bowl cleaner
  • Hygiene products:
    • Sanitary napkins/pads
    • Shampoo – full size and travel size, suitable for families
    • Deodorant – men’s and women’s
    • Lotion – full size and travel size

  • Pro-bono dentist services and pro-bono mechanic services

Donating Furniture (by pre-approval):

Thank you for thinking of HomeFront families. Unfortunately, due to staffing shortages and our current warehouse renovation limiting our space, we are pausing furniture donations for about 4-6 weeks. Please check back with us at the end of July 2022 to see when we will be back online. When we do re-start, we utilize a pre-approval process, where we ask you to email us pictures and dimensions of the items.

HomeFront’s Treasure Trove in Hopewell is still accepting donations of shabby chic household items, art, vintage items, furniture, etc. Donation hours for the Treasure Trove are Wednesday 10am-1pm and Saturday 10 am-noon at 31 West Broad Street, Hopewell Borough. All sales benefit HomeFront families. Please email with any questions about the Treasure Trove.

We are also accepting:

  • Diapers and pull-ups of all sizes and baby wipes, especially diapers size 3-6
  • New art supplies – acrylic paint, paint brushes, canvas boards 11x14 and 8x10, poster board, scissors for adults, Crayola watercolor paints for children
  • Baby formula (Enfamil, Similac)
  • Other canned goods not listed above (protein like chicken/tuna, ravioli, beef stew, soup, spaghetti sauce, and fruit)
  • Spring/summer clothing and shoes (especially plus-size men’s and women’s) – new/gently used adult, child, and baby, clean and ready to wear, in labeled bags or on hangers
  • Linens – gently used/new sheet sets, comforters, towels, blankets that are clean and ready to use in labeled bags
  • Pots and pans – gently used/new, especially sets in labeled boxes
  • Dish and silverware sets – gently used/new, especially sets secured in labeled boxes
  • Small appliances in good working order, with all parts included or attached and labeled – microwaves, toasters, and coffee pots
  • Baby items – gently used/new strollers, car seats within 6 years from the listed manufacture date, pack and plays, high chairs etc.
  • Toilet paper, paper towels, and new or gently used large plastic storage bins with matching lids

We are currently NOT able to accept:

  • Cribs
  • Electronics
  • Lamps/lighting
  • Rugs
  • Books
  • New or used toys
  • CDs/Movies/DVDs
  • Sports equipment
  • Luggage
  • Musical instruments or stereo equipment
  • Home or holiday decorations
  • Knick knacks
  • Office supplies
  • Art and frames
