In addition to financial contributions, there are many other ways you can help.

How to Donate Items

The HomeFront Donation Center is open at 1880 Princeton Ave, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm
  • Saturday, 9am-12pm

Due to space constraints, we are currently only able to accept the specific items listed below. We hope to expand our Donation Center list as circumstances allow!


Current Most Needed Items:

It also may be convenient for you (and works really well for us!) to purchase donations off of our Amazon wishlist.

Seasonal items:

Items for our Children’s Programs:

  • Individual snack packs (cookies, chips, cheese crackers, fruit snacks, etc.)
  • Juice boxes and small water bottle packs
  • Baby food (squeezable fruit and yogurt preferred)

Unopened hygiene and wellness products:

  • Period products (pads and tampons)
  • Shampoo – gender neutral
  • Deodorant – men’s, women’s, or gender neutral
  • Razors
  • Toothpaste, regular and travel size
  • Infant and child Tylenol
  • Black hair & skin care products
  • Pedialyte
  • Antibacterial ointment (“Triple”, Neosporin, or Bacitracin)

New baby items:

  • Powder Enfamil Neuropro and Enfamil Neuropro Gentlease baby formula
  • Baby lotion (8-15 oz.)
  • Hand-held breast pumps and supplies

New supplies for move-ins:

  • Bath towel sets
  • Pots and pans sets
  • Twin comforter sets in neutral colors
  • Dish soap
  • Multi-purpose cleaner
  • Toilet bowl cleaner
  • Toilet brush
  • Sponges
  • Paper towels
  • Broom with dustpan or Swiffer
  • Mop and bucket 

Non-perishable food, canned/bagged (protein like chicken/tuna, veggies, ravioli, beef stew, soup, spaghetti sauce, low-sugar cereal, and fruit), especially:

  • Unopened packaged spices – salt, pepper, oregano, chili powder, red chili flakes, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika,
  • Cooking oil – canola, vegetable

Donating Furniture (by pre-approval):

Because of space constraints in our warehouse, we are unable to accept furniture donations through approximately mid-June 2023. Check back here for more information. Once we return to accepting furniture, we ask that you send pictures and dimensions of furniture through our pre-approval process. Please understand that many of our families are moving into very small apartments and large pieces of furniture cannot work for their space.

Furniture we cannot accept year-round: Oversized furniture; Entertainment units; Sectional, reclining, or sleep sofas; King size beds, king box springs, and king bedframes; Headboards and footboards; Bookshelves; Office furniture including desks; TVs that are large, more than 50 lbs., and not flat-screen; Outdoor furniture; Glass furniture

We are also accepting:

  • Participate in our Diaper Challenge! Diapers and pull-ups of all sizes and baby wipes, especially diapers size 3-6
  • New or gently used spring/summer clothing and shoes that are clean and ready to wear, in labeled bags or on hangers:
    • Clean adult clothing and shoes
    • Children’s clothing and shoes
    • Baby clothing and shoes
    • Accessories such as belts and purses
  • New or gently used linens & housewares that are clean and ready to use:
    • In labeled bags: sheet sets, comforters, towels, blankets
    • Secured in labeled boxes: pots and pans sets, dish and silverware sets, small appliances in good working order with all parts included (especially microwaves, toasters, and coffee pots)
  • TVs – flat screen 26”-40” with base/legs (not wall-hanging)
  • New or gently used baby items that are clean and have all parts:
    • Strollers, especially infant/car seat combo strollers
    • Car seats within 6 years from the listed manufacture date
    • Pack and plays
    • Highchairs
    • Bassinets
  • Toilet paper, paper towels, and new or gently used large plastic storage bins with matching lids
  • New art supplies, especially acrylic paint, paint brushes, and canvases
  • Other baby formula brands not listed above

We are currently NOT able to accept:

  • Opened food and hygiene products
  • Cribs
  • Electronics
  • Rugs
  • Books
  • Bikes and trikes
  • Toys
  • CDs/Movies/DVDs
  • Sports equipment
  • Luggage
  • Musical instruments or stereo equipment
  • Home or holiday decorations
  • Knick knacks
  • Office supplies
  • Art and frames

We partner closely with many of our sister nonprofit agencies to make sure that individuals and families in our community have access to the items they need to live lives with dignity.
